This hike was about 8.5 miles and took me from 7:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. to complete. I entered Hurricane Creek Wilderness Area from the north and headed down the right prong of Greasy Creek. My return trip would take me up the left prong. This was a wonderful hike on a perfect sunny day that started at 48 degrees and ended at around 72 degrees. Walking was difficult here in many places due to slippery rocks, large boulders and numerous waterfalls. The water level was quite low and I can imagine that with some rain this place would be sweet to behold. I hiked as far as the confluence with Hurricane Creek and never saw another human.
